Taco Joint can be my boyfriend. I found the ultimate place that remembers my name, fills me with love and sausage, and won't judge me for overeating. That's right. The Taco Joint should be where you spend your next meal. Go. Now.
Taco Joint is in the middle of a semi-sketchy neighborhood in Dallas, but don't let that fool you. Walking in here is like stepping into Austin. Here are the highlights.
-Breakfast. All day. -BRISKET TACO TUESDAY -The good ice. See Sonic. -Friendliest guy at the register ever, and I've read on numerous blogs that he remembers your name with each visit. -Fast service -Hot coffee -All breakfast tacos come with cheese -Free wifi -Queso with meat and guac called The Disaster -Good people watching (so this is where the non-yuppies eat) -The largest amount of delish sausage I have ever seen rolled into one giant non-greasy, I want another one right now, breakfast burrito.
I am so hitting this up tomorrow for the brisket tacos!
Hello stylish friends! Time for another installment of AFFF. This time, I'm spotlighting The Children's Place, where my stylish friend Brenda and I had the best time picking out clothes for her little fashionista. The clothes were a major deal! B scored 20, read it, 20! items for $100! A new Children's Place opened up at the Park Lane shopping center. It's one of the brightest and cleanest stores I've ever been in. Granted, it was the Grand Opening, but I still have high hopes.
This drop waist dress is adorable in person. Bright and light, and in three colors! A summer must at just $12.98
In honor of Earth Day, I'd like to pay homage to my favorite show for kids of all ages, Sesame Street, and their brilliant way to promote being green. Throw Paul Rudd in an earth costume and BAM, turn Elmo green. Brillz!
Hello friends! If you're anything like me, you grocery shop hungry, loading up your cart with full intentions for THIS WEEK to be the week of home-cooked meals and feeding yourself with loads of fresh produce. Cut to nine days later as you throw away molded strawberries with disdain, guilt, and regret. Voila! Download The Kitchen Cure's Eat This! Grocery Reminder and magnet that up to your fridge. If I see as much as one cucumber less waste at the end of the week, I will know I've succeeded.
Ben and Jerry's Free Cone Day is back! April 21st. Go get you some. Looks like the closest one to me is in Plano. That still might be worth the drive. I vote everyone just eats ice cream anyway. I will be a Chunky Monkey and have no problem with it. Make it a double scoop!
